Abstract Submission Guide

Dear Prospective Presenters,

 

We eagerly invite you to contribute your noteworthy research and compelling case studies to the 29th International Medical Sciences Student Congress (IMSSC). Your participation is central to the success of our scientific program. Please review the following guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth submission process.

General Information

The most important function of your abstract is to show that you have a valuable contribution to the congress and to attract the audience to your presentation. Abstracts will only be considered for the abstract selection procedure when they are written in English.

 

​Note: Preliminary results are allowed in your abstract.

​

Abstract Submission Dates

Abstracts must be submitted to the Active Participation FormThe abstract submission for the 29th IMSSC is open from January 2nd to March 1st, 2026. We strongly encourage early submissions!

Eligibility

  • We welcome submissions of original research and case reports across all medical topics. To maintain the high standard of IMSSC, all submissions must meet the following criteria:

  • Originality: The work must be original and must not have been previously published by another party.

  • Exclusivity: The abstract must not have received an award at any previous international or national student congress.

  • Quality of Content: Abstracts must be authentic, understandable, educational, clinically interesting, and worthy of discussion. We particularly value submissions that provoke thought around differential diagnosis, clinical decision-making, management strategies, guideline adherence, and pathology.

  • Supervisor Consent is Mandatory: For your abstract to be considered, a separate consent email from your supervisor must be sent directly to us. Submissions without this official confirmation cannot be evaluated.

Abstract Title

  • A maximum of 200 characters typed in UPPER-CASE letters is permitted.

​

Abstract Authors

  • Only one of the authors can present the abstract.

  • Please underline the presenting author in the abstract.

  • Please enter all co-authors that were involved in the work of the abstract with their affiliation.

 

Abstract Text

  • Abstract text must be limited to 250 words for case presentation, 500 words for research.

  • All abstracts must be submitted (and presented) in English with accurate grammar and spelling suitable for publication.

  • Please do not add tables, graphs or images to the abstract.

  • Submissions must not contain patient names, hospital ID numbers or other identifying information.

  • Use generic names of drugs. The use of commercial drug names, brands, and registered trademarks is prohibited.

  • Limit the use of acronyms and abbreviations. Define at first use with acronym or abbreviation in parentheses.
